Easter 2007
We all know that the Easter term is about enjoying the sun and the S-word― stress. Here are some tips on how to stay focused whilst enjoying the sun.
- Keep hydrated! When dehydrated the first loss is of concentration. Drink some water and you'll feel energised, or take a break/short walk.
- Take full advantage of the Trinity Welfare events. After all, what are the Chaplains and I meant to to with our money if not spend it on you!
- Work with a timetable that's best for you, whether it be early morning or late at night. But remember people work differently― don't bother competing with others in racking up the hours. It probably won't get you a first.
- If you're struggling with any kind of pressure, exams or otherwise, TALK to someone: friend, family, tutor or me. If you let it out you can start to deal with things and who knows that mental block in TORT may just clear!
- Keep the exams in perspective. Yes they're important, and yes we're at Cambridge― but you could give it up and work as a charity worker helping to fight famine for the rest of your life― without needing a degree.
- Have faith in yourself― if you're on the course, your supervisors know you have the ability: revise as someone ready to pass, not fail.
In the next few weeks, I'll let you know of anything happening. If you have any questions or ideas please let me know. I'm always around for a chat of some sort!
