About TCSU

What is the TCSU?

The Trinity College Students’ Union is, and this might come as a big surprise, the students’ union here in Trinity. All students at the college, graduate and undergraduate, are members from the moment they arrive — and the college cat is also an ‘honorary member’. Don’t worry though, there’s no membership fee or forms to fill in. Instead simply sit back and enjoy the innumerable benefits which include: heavily subsidised parties, welfare support, and sources of information regarding to the complexities of college.

What does TCSU do?

  1. Organise regular ents around college or in Cambridge city centre, focusing on good acts and cheap drinks. Always great fun!
  2. Provide pastoral care through well trained officers who will simply listen, and provide relevant services when needed. We’ve been known to offer free chocolate and massages during the more stressful times.
  3. Supply games and a wealth of other diversions from work, such as Sky TV on a mahoosive television located in the JCR, newspapers around college and a Playstation 2 in Burrell’s Field.
  4. Represent the student body. We do this by liaising with college officials at formal meetings twice a term and also on an ad-hoc basis to ensure your views are heard. We find out what you think, through our on-line surveys (which should be up and running soon!), at open meetings, and you can also stop us around college and simply tell us too!
